Fraser Island (21 December 2019 - 3 January 2020)
We decided to brave the crowds and spend Christmas and New Years on Fraser Island. Some might say we were silly to even attempt that, but we had a blast. Arriving a few days before Christmas was great and the island wasn't busy at all and we got the exact campsite we wanted, big enough for our whole group, who were arriving over the coming days.
We ended up with 12 people (7 adults and 5 kids) and everyone had a great time. Yes it got busy from boxing day onwards, but as long as you stay away from the popular areas it was fine. We headed to the Western Beach and barely saw another car all day.
Even after all our visits to the island we still found new places to explore. This is one place of pure natural beauty and a place we just never get sick of.
