Watagans (28.12.15)
A few months ago we teamed up with Leah from Protect Cape York to work with her on this great cause. Only thing is, Leah and her hubby live in Queensland, so we actually hadn't met! When they came down to NSW to spend Christmas with family, we jumped at the chance to meet them and headed out for a day of 4WDing fun.
We met up at Morisset and headed out for a play in the Watagans. Now, the Watagans can be challenging at the best of times, but after rain, we knew what to expect! Some of the tracks were just not in any condition for us to attempt them, some we get blocked by trees or huge ruts and quite a few were so overgrown that we needed to turn around. At the end of the day I think we only completed 1 track in its entirety!
Leah had a little incident with a ditch ……or let’s call it one huge mother of a hole! It was as big as her! At least it made for some great shots of the car while it sat it that precarious position!
Definitely a great day out, looking forward to our next catch up.
