Rural Aid is a registered charity which was founded in 2015. They provide a holistic support program to rural Australia. They run the “Buy a Bale” campaign, in which donations help purchase and distribute fodder, hampers and more. They also run other programs such as Farm Rescue, Weekend Warriors, The Farm Army, all of which do a great deal to help our struggling farmers.
Anyone who knows us knows that we love to travel and spend a lot of time in the outback and have seen first-hand the effect this drought is having on our beautiful country and its people. During our travels we've spoken to those affected and it's heartbreaking to hear stories of no rain or no feed for their stock, having to destroy, sell or give away stock and working dogs .... not to mention the impact this all has on one's mental state of mind. We personally have family living on the land and they too are suffering. It really is far worse than most people realise.

With the type of outback travel that we do, you really appreciate what an amazing service the RFDS provide to people in the bush, and have been doing so since 1928.
While we hope that we will never, ever need to use their services, we will donate and promote their cause as much as possible.
Staffy Rescue is committed to rehoming Staffordshire bull terriers and large breed dogs. Staffy Rescue, located in western Sydney, is a registered animal welfare charity who rescues dogs from death row at pounds across NSW and rehabilitates them before rehoming them with their perfect forever family. Being staffy owners ourselves and knowing what loving, and often misunderstood, dogs they are, this cause is very close to our heart.
Hawkesbury's Helping Hands is a registered not-for-profit charity that helps to feed, clothe and support the homeless and less fortunate.
The Hawkesbury (on the outskirts of Sydney) covers a very large area and unfortunately is home to many homeless people, from babies, the elderly, singles and families. Hot meals are supplied to the homeless, as well as blankets, sleeping bags, toiletries, whatever is needed ….. no one is ever turned away. We regularly make donations of various items to this worthy charity. If you can help by donating money or time, they would greatly appreciate it.
The Shitbox Rally is a yearly fundraising event to raise money for cancer research. In this rally, cars worth $1,000 are driven across Australia via some pretty tough roads, all in the name of charity. We've had a few friends take part over the years. In 2015 we supported our mates in 'team Dodgy Brothers' as they travelled over 6500km from Canberra to Townsville, via the Birdsville Track, in 7 days ..... in a 2WD Holden Commodore wagon!
