Ulladulla Bushfire Relief (20-22 March 2020)
This bushfire relief weekend was organised by The Duck and what a great weekend it was! As it turned out, it was our very last camping trip and weekend away before COVID-19 lockdown (literally just days before it happened!). The idea was to head down to the south coast and spend some money in the area after the devastating bushfires earlier in the year. We stayed at Kings Point Retreat and this place was amazing. We aren’t huge caravan park fans but this place was awesome and we can’t thank them enough for a great weekend. One of the highlights (for Shelly anyway!) was Adam Harvey doing a mini concert for us, he was great and even George reluctantly agreed that he enjoyed it!
Not only did we explore Ulladulla, we also spent some time exploring the surrounding areas of Milton, Warden Head Lighthouse, Burrill Beach and Lake Conjola.
It was great to catch up with The Duck again and meet his wife and friends. We met many great people that weekend and had alot of laughs ..... and yes we did put back into the community, about $850 actually, including a new second battery for Leia!
