We stayed at the Innot Hot Springs Leisure Park a few years ago and, while the pools were great, the grounds and hotel rooms were not! We'd read some recent reviews on TripAdvisor and it seemed that the park had been taken over by new owners and was undergoing a much needed upgrade, so we decided to try it again. Historically the spring water from Innot was hauled to Townsville by mules and then bottled and shipped to Europe. The springs come from the bottom of the Nettle Creek and you can make your own soaking pit by digging a hole in the sand and mixing in the river water. The temperature of the spring itself is 60-70 degrees! Within the park there are numerous pools and spas, all at varying degrees of heat. The 3 indoor pools are adults only and were heated to around 30 degrees and 44 degrees, and a cool down pool. Even George managed to sit in the 44 degree pool this time, would even put his feet in last visit!! The outdoor pools are also heated to varying degrees, plus the normal cold water larger pool. We all had a great time, Rori loved being in the water after being stuck in the car or at camp for the past few days. The night was finished off with a campfire, toasted marshmallows and choc chip damper!
